A compact laser cell becomes a flexible product family: OSCAR PLT is expanding the ProFocus LaserCell Compact with new variants featuring a larger working area, a separate operator station, and an open solution for mobile processing of large components.

Fraunhofer IPK in Berlin has commissioned a ProFocus LaserCell from OSCAR-PLT – marking a milestone for robot-guided wire laser deposition. The fully digital process chain, from 3D scanning to AI-controlled welding, enables efficient, resource-saving repair of metal components across industries. From 26 to 28 August 2025, OSCAR-PLT will take part in the Nordic Laser Material Processing Conference (NOLAMP) for the first time. With a practice-oriented presentation on the additive repair of cast iron components, we aim to inspire Scandinavia to rethink 3D repair – and to spread the message that repair welding is a true game changer for industrial maintenance.
